An icon in high-alpine timekeeping
The new SPB245 pays tribute to Seiko's very first sports watch: the handsome Laurel Alpinist, which was purpose-built in 1959 for Japan's most elite mountaineers. This new modern interpretation retains the signature dagger hands and oversized luminous triangle markers of its classically mid-century predecessor, albeit with a fully modern Seiko calibre, an upgraded box sapphire crystal, and an increase of the water resistance to a hearty 200 meters.
